About Us

Hallbrook Culinary Classic was born from a vision among friends, club members, Hallbrook leadership, and a culinary event production team who has co-produced Taste America and Friends of James Beard Benefits events across the U.S. The group saw an opportunity to lift, showcase and point the spotlight on Kansas City’s ever-growing culinary community with a brand-new event hosted by the club. The team gathered and shared ideas, crafted a vision, presented it to club leadership and got the approval for the event to be on the Friends of James Beard Benefits calendar of exceptional experiences in 2025.

This first-ever production will provide proceeds to the James Beard Foundation’s many missions in chef education, diversity, sustainability, fairness in the workplace, full use of food and other programming. Additionally, other proceeds will benefit local student chef-focused programs.
